Handwriting recognition project
Help software read handwritten dates
Write a few sample dates on paper, snap a photo with your phone, and submit. Your samples help train software that reads handwritten dates on scanned documents, making it easier to sort, search, and digitize paper records.
What you're contributing
What we need
- Handwritten dates on blank paper
- Any format works (03/07/2026, March 7, 7-3-26, etc.)
- Use made-up dates — they don't need to be real
- Phone camera photos of the paper
What we don't want
- No real names or signatures
- No addresses or personal info
- No checks, bills, or sensitive documents
- No passwords — we use Google sign-in only
Your samples are used solely to improve handwritten date recognition for document processing.
How it works
Three steps from your phone. No printing, no scanning, no fuss.
Why this matters
Millions of paper documents sit in boxes because software can't reliably read handwritten dates. Your samples help change that.
